To celebrate the ongoing Subaru of America, Inc.’s Share the Love Event, our local organization will be participating by having a Share the Love Saturday where Former Miss America and country singer Betty Cantrell will help deliver meals in our community this Saturday!
Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc. is in need of volunteers to assist us in delivering meals to the elderly and homebound. Volunteers only need to commit 1.5 hours per week to make a significant difference in the lives of the homebound, mostly elderly clients we serve. Each week, Meals on Wheels deploys 75 volunteers on different routes throughout the city, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. To participate, volunteers only need a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and pass a background check.
Would you like to help us make a difference? We need people like you to deliver meals while also providing friendship, comfort and hope to those we serve.
Together, we will be able to help many of these individuals not only meet essential daily nutritious needs, but to work toward a brighter tomorrow. Our volunteers say they feel rewarded many times over for the help they provide in making a difference in the lives of others.

We are pleased to announce that we received a grant in the amount of $3,250.00 from Publix Super Markets Charities. The funds will be used for The Waiting One Project. the Waiting One Project is a waiting list of individuals who have qualified for home delivered meals but no funding source is available.
We want to thank everyone who has expressed their support over the last several days. Meals on Wheels is much more than a meal! Our volunteers and staff are delivering more than good food; we are providing friendship, comfort, and hope. We believe that our elders and disabled neighbors retain a sense of independence and dignity when they are able to live in their own homes.
