Support Our 2018 End-of-Year Giving Campaign!

Quotes and Facts from 2018

Dear Friends,

Thank you for making 2018 yet another remarkable year for Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia! This year marks 44 years of service for the organization. Our dedicated staff has done an incredible job at expanding our outreach while strengthening our programs and services.

Our ongoing goal is to keep our overhead low while increasing the value of services delivered to our clients. You make it all possible! Meals on Wheels is stronger than ever thanks to our expanding community of supporters who come together to donate time, resources and talent to advance our mission.

This year we have worked with businesses, churches and banking institutions who have helped us meet our goals. Wells Fargo Vendor Financial Services both delivered meals and held a local pet food drive. Gateway Café gave customers the option to round up their checks and donated the difference. Kingdom Life Church and Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church made monetary donations alongside their memberships. Our Board of Directors has helped to increase our donor base.

Thank you wholeheartedly for being a part of the Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia movement. We look forward to much more as we move into 2019. Last year we raised over $33,000, and our goal this year is $43,000. Please donate today and join with me in supporting our worthy cause!

Warmest Regards,

To celebrate the ongoing Subaru of America, Inc.’s Share the Love Event, our local organization will be participating by having a Share the Love Saturday where Former Miss America and country singer Betty Cantrell will help deliver meals in our community this Saturday!

Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc. is in need of volunteers to assist us in delivering meals to the elderly and homebound. Volunteers only need to commit 1.5 hours per week to make a significant difference in the lives of the homebound, mostly elderly clients we serve. Each week, Meals on Wheels deploys 75 volunteers on different routes throughout the city, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. To participate, volunteers only need a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and pass a background check.

Would you like to help us make a difference? We need people like you to deliver meals while also providing friendship, comfort and hope to those we serve.

Together, we will be able to help many of these individuals not only meet essential daily nutritious needs, but to work toward a brighter tomorrow. Our volunteers say they feel rewarded many times over for the help they provide in making a difference in the lives of others.
